LANDSCAPE GALLERIES

One of the biggest changes I’ve made to my website, is that I decided to present my images differently. Before this change, each of my galleries had all the images displayed in this repeated layout: landscape, square, and portrait – then repeat. It worked for variety and interest, so it wasn’t terrible. But it occurred to me while deciding on my latest update, that the majority of people will be viewing the images on a phone. In my previous post, I wrote about wanting to present my images at the highest quality: high resolution and big. Big, meaning, use the full screen. But with a gallery of images presented together in three different orientations, that means turning your phone around for each image to fill the screen. Sorry, but that’s no fun! So, simple solution: separate the galleries in to individual landscape, square, and portrait orientations. Yes! Choose the gallery, set the phone to have the image fill the frame, and swipe away. Here’s an example of some of my favourite landscape-oriented images. Hope you enjoy.

You’ll find the landscape-oriented images on my site in the section called PERSONAL PROJECT, in STREET 1 and STREET 2.
