SQUARE GALLERY

You will only find one gallery on my site that contains square oriented images, and that is STREET 3, in the PERSONAL PROJECT section. Now, having only one gallery with square images is not to say that I don’t like this way of composing the final edit (250 images in there I think). Quite the opposite actually. But trying to explain my process of composition is way beyond the scope of this simple blog post. I will however touch on this subject a little here, and in future posts explain much more because it is extremely important to my photography. When I’m on the street, every single image I’ve ever taken, has had the camera in the normal position: landscape. There are many, many reason why this is. So many in fact, that it took me 74,000 words in my book to explain how this became my way of shooting street. But one of the main reasons is to give me the most options to create my art. And the fact that my camera has a 50.6 MP sensor also helps. Within one image, there is always more than one way to compose the final edit. But the important thing here, how I ended up with the square image, and forgive me for sounding too simplistic, is that it just fit! That’s right. In fact, sometimes this ‘fit’ is so strong, there could be no other way to compose the image. Again, too difficult to explain it all. So, in the meantime, please enjoy this gallery. Some of my favorite images are contained within; some are below. Thanks
